Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Worcester, MA is seeking a registered nurse to join the Endoscopy Center team. You will apply the nursing process to patient care from admission to discharge, tailoring plans to developmental and cultural needs and coordinating discharge teaching.

Requirements include Massachusetts RN licensure and BLS; ACLS/PALS/NRP are preferred for certain units. BSN and GI certification are considered assets.

Qualifications

• Licensed registered nurse in Massachusetts.
• BLS is required for every RN; ACLS/PALS/NRP preferred for certain units.
• BSN and GI certification are preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for teamwork and patient care.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process for patient care from admission to discharge, tailored to developmental and cultural needs.
• Performs patient assessment and reassessment according to nursing standards.
• Develops and coordinates the plan of care including discharge planning and teaching.
• Directs, supervises, coordinates and evaluates nursing care within the assigned clinical setting.
• Delegates appropriately to others in accordance with job description and competency level.
