Job summary

Memorial Hermann Surgery Center, Southwest is seeking an experienced Endoscopy GI/Pre‑op/Pacu RN to join our Endoscopy practice. You should be energetic, customer-service oriented and able to work with minimal supervision. The position is full-time with daytime hours.

The ideal candidate has an accredited nursing degree, 2+ years OR experience with GI/Endoscopy, Texas RN licensure, and BLS/ACLS/PALS certification; CNOR is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Minimum of two (2) years previous OR experience assisting with GI/Endoscopy procedures.
• Current Texas License as a Registered Nurse.
• Current in BLS, ACLS and PALS required.
• CNOR preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide endoscopy/GI pre-op and PACU nursing care in a team-based Endoscopy practice.
• Demonstrate independent prioritization, professionalism and patient-focused service.

Required Skills and Experience

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Minimum of two (2) years previous OR experience assisting with GI/Endoscopy procedures.
• Current Texas License as a Registered Nurse.
• Current in BLS, ACLS and PALS required.
• CNOR preferred.
• Possess the ability to work independently and prioritize responsibilities.
• Possess the ability to deal tactfully with patients, families, physicians, and employees.
• Knowledgeable of hospital policies and procedures specific to operating room nurse.
• Clinically proficient in operating room nursing skills, demonstrating knowledge of the development needs of the pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patient.
