Qualifications

• ACLS certification required within 30 days of start date
• BCLS (Basic Life Support) certification required within 30 days of start date
• RN (Registered Nurse) licensure is required
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients prior to surgery
• Provide patient and family education regarding procedures and peri-operative processes
• Prepare patients including IV therapy, preoperative medications, and surgical site verification
• Participate in surgical site verification and universal protocols
• Recognize and respond to patient emergencies
• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care using evidence-based practices
• Collaborate with providers, surgeons, and surgical team
• Apply nursing process with critical thinking and leadership to deliver safe care
• Monitor patient condition and document changes
• Educate patients and families about condition, treatment, and follow-up measures
