Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs endoscopy procedure setup, including physician preference and expectations.
• Tests equipment for proper functioning and availability.
• Assists the RN/Physician with proper positioning of the patient.
• Maintains asepsis standards and handles, cleans, and disinfects scopes.
• Adheres to Universal Protocol and Time-Out procedures.
• Handles specimens with proper labeling, transport, and logging.
• Ensures medication safety and patient education.
• Documents patient condition and response to nursing interventions.
