Job summary

Community Health Systems is seeking an RN for Endoscopy, with float duties between procedure and pre/post care. This role covers inpatient and outpatient services and involves working in a main unit with 13 procedure rooms.

The RN will provide patient-centered care, assist during procedures, and educate patients and families while upholding safety and quality standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• RN license/certification required and active state licensure.
• Ability to perform comprehensive patient assessments and documentation.
• Proficiency in medication administration and safety monitoring.
• Capable of collaborating with physicians and care teams in a fast-paced setting.
• Commitment to infection control and patient safety.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver patient-centered care per nursing process.
• Assess patients, document findings, and report changes to the care team.
• Administer prescribed meds and monitor for adverse effects.
• Assist physicians during procedures and support endoscopy activities.
• Educate patients and families about care plans and post-discharge needs.
• Maintain infection control standards and operate equipment as needed.
• Participate in audits, quality improvement, and patient safety initiatives.
• Engage in performance improvement to enhance outcomes.
