Job summary

Memorial Hermann Health System in Houston, TX is seeking an RN to join our inpatient care team. You will provide nursing care, conduct assessments, educate patients, and maintain medical records as part of an interdisciplinary team.

This role includes a schedule of Monday–Friday with alternating off days, two 12-hour days and two 8-hour days, with on-call responsibilities weekdays and weekends; licensure in Texas and BLS certification required; RN levels 1–4 defined by experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing; Bachelors of Nursing preferred.
• Current State of Texas license or temporary/compact license to practice professional nursing.
• Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS).
• RN I <1 year, RN II 1-3 years, RN III 3-10 years, RN IV 10+ years.

Responsibilities

• Delivers safe and appropriate care to patients, according to nursing skills and patient needs.
• Coordinates planning for nursing care with an interdisciplinary team and makes clinical decisions.
• Collaborates with and may delegate to the healthcare team to achieve positive outcomes.
• Coordinates discharge and transfer plans and participates in program evaluations.
