Job summary

USPI Southwest Endoscopy and Surgicenter is hiring an Endoscopy RN for a full-time role. You will work in a fast-paced ASC environment, assisting with endoscopy procedures, pre-op, and PACU care, under physician and SGNA guidelines.

The role requires a current RN license (unrestricted), 1–3 years in related units, and BLS/ALS/PALS certification. GI experience and ASC background are preferred. Expect a collaborative team and commitment to high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Nurse with an unrestricted RN license.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• 1–3 years’ experience in PreOP/PACU, ED, Critical Care, Med Surg/Tele.
• Ambulatory surgical center experience preferred.
• GI experience preferred.
• Current BLS, ALS and PALS.
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and aseptic techniques.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing patient conditions.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to Center policies and demonstrate fiscal responsibility.
• Follow standards for Endoscopy nursing care.
• Maintain Endoscopy skills and knowledge.
• Provide care in Pre-Op, Endoscopy suite, and PACU.
• Prepare patients and equipment for Endoscopy procedures.
• Assist physicians with Endoscopy under SGNA guidelines.
• Demonstrate accountability for facility assets.
• Assess patients’ physiological and psychological needs.
• Administer conscious sedation under physician supervision.
• Follow OSHA and bloodborne pathogen standards.
• Collaborate with team to maintain calm in stressful situations.
• Inform Manager of day-to-day situations.
• Follow employee health and staffing policies.
