Job summary

U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs at the Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center in Milwaukee, WI seeks an Endoscopy RN for the Medical Procedures Unit of the Acute Outpatient Division. Intermittent position with responsibilities for procedural care and supervision of Medical Instrument Technicians.

The RN provides evidence-based care for GI and Pulmonary patients, assists with endoscopy procedures including sedation, and collaborates with the team to ensure safe patient transitions.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a nursing program approved and accredited by ACEN or CCNE.
• Current RN license in a US state or territory with eligibility for VA appointment.
• English language proficiency for direct patient care.
• Temporary appointment options may apply during bridge/licensure processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide competent, evidence-based procedural care to GI and Pulmonary patients.
• Oversee Medical Instrument Technicians as appropriate to the procedural setting.
• Deliver RN sedation and assist during endoscopy procedures.
• Educate patients and families on pre- and post-procedure care.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe transitions of care.
