Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in applicable state.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Minimum of 1–2 years of nursing experience preferred; endoscopy, procedural, PACU, ICU, or critical care experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-operative nursing assessments, including medical history, medication reconciliation, allergies, and vital signs.
• Function as the circulating nurse during endoscopic procedures and coordinate patient care.
• Monitor patient condition and communicate changes to the physician and anesthesia provider.
• Maintain accurate procedural documentation and ensure rooms are prepared and compliant with infection prevention standards.
• Assist with specimen collection, labeling, and transport as needed.
• Monitor post-anesthesia recovery, assess pain and readiness for discharge, and provide post-procedure instructions.
• Participate in quality improvement, training, and departmental meetings.
