Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital in Charlottesville, VA is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Pre/Post in our Endoscopy Unit. This is a full-time day shift, five 8-hour shifts, 6:45 a.m. to 4:15 p.m.

Monday through Friday. A sign-on bonus up to $15,000 is available for qualified candidates. The RN will apply nursing processes with colleagues in a fast-paced digestive care setting, with a patient-to-nurse ratio around 1:3 and opportunities for education and professional development through

Qualifications

• Education: Degree in Registered Nursing; BSN or MSN preferred.
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
• ACLS certification within 6 months of hire.
• Endoscopy experience preferred.
• 18 months of procedural nursing experience preferred.
• Experience in operating room or sterile settings preferred.
• Teamwork and communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing care using the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Adhere to standards of practice and professional performance.
• Provide patient education and health promotion.
• Coordinate care with multidisciplinary team.
