Job summary

United Digestive’s RN-Endoscopy Pre-Call Nurse coordinates pre-procedure steps for endoscopy patients at Midtown Endoscopy Center in Atlanta. Responsibilities include verifying pre-op clearances, ensuring patients follow directions, and collaborating with endoscopy staff to fill slots when cancellations occur.

Qualifications include Associates in Nursing, RN licensure, 2+ years RN experience; preferred Bachelor’s in Nursing.

Qualifications

Associates in Nursing required; Bachelor’s preferred.
Active nursing license in state of practice.
Minimum 2 years RN experience in last 5 years; 2–3 years clinical or related field preferred.
Experience with EPIC, ProVation, EClinicalWorks, PowerBI and MS Office is preferred.

Responsibilities

Ensure pre-op directions are followed and verified two weeks prior to procedures.
Collaborate with endo staff to fill slots when cancellations occur for optimal utilization.
Review patient histories and clearance to determine anesthesia appropriateness.
Coordinate with anesthesia staff and enter orders in the system as needed.
Prepare patient charts and import necessary documents into clinical systems.
