Job summary

TriStar Hendersonville Medical Center is seeking an Endoscopy Nurse PRN to join our surgical services team. You will evaluate patients preoperatively, provide education, and assist with preparing for procedures in a collaborative, patient-centered environment.

This role requires RN licensure, ACLS/BLS completion within specified timeframes, and prior perioperative or endoscopy experience. You will work with surgeons, technicians, and nurses to uphold safety and quality care while delivering

Qualifications

• ACLS and BLS must be completed within defined timelines.
• RN licensure and associate degree required.
• Endoscopy and surgical services experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients prior to surgery.
• Provide patient and family education surrounding the peri-operative process.
• Prepare patients, including IV therapy and preoperative meds.
• Assist with surgical site verification and universal protocols.
• Recognize and respond to patient emergencies.
• Deliver patient-centered care with evidence-based practices.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to improve workflow.
• Document patient condition and care thoroughly.
• Educate patients and families about conditions and follow-up.
