Job summary

Atlantic Health System is seeking a dedicated Endoscopy Unit RN for Morristown Medical Center in Morristown, NJ. The role involves pre‑procedure assessments, patient monitoring, medication administration, and assisting physicians during procedures.

You will contribute to post‑procedure recovery and patient education in a high‑quality care environment. Required BSN and NJ RN licensure with BLS; ACLS/PALS preferred.

Qualifications

• Registered nurse with BSN and active RN license in NJ.
• BLS certification required.
• Preferred: ACLS and PALS; 2–3 years inpatient nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre‑procedure nursing assessments and verify patient readiness for endoscopic procedures.
• Monitor patient status including vitals, oxygenation, and consciousness.
• Administer medications within scope of practice and hospital policy.
• Assist physicians with procedures, equipment, and specimen collection.
• Provide post‑procedure recovery care and discharge readiness assessment.
• Educate patients and families on post‑procedure care and follow‑up.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the EHR and ensure infection prevention standards.
