Job summary

Qualified candidates hold a BSN (MSN preferred), Texas RN licensure (compact allowed), and at least 2 years in nursing management. A national specialty certification or plan to obtain within a year is encouraged.

Qualifications

• BSN required; MSN or Masters Degree in related field preferred.
• Texas State RN license required; Compact license accepted.
• National Specialty Certification or plan to achieve within 1 year of hire.
• BLS/ACLS as required by department.
• Minimum 2 years in a nursing management position.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24/7 accountability for a defined patient care area.
• Lead autonomous nursing practice using evidence-based care.
• Plan and deliver goal-directed nursing care while supporting staff health and safety.
