Job summary

Salem Hospital in Salem, MA is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner for the Endoscopy and Pre-Procedural Evaluation teams. The NP will conduct preoperative telephone assessments, review medical histories, evaluate perioperative risk, coordinate testing, educate patients, and partner with procedural teams to ensure patients are prepared for procedures.

The role is on-site, day shift, with mixed weekly hours and non-patient facing tasks.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Nursing required.
• APRN-NP State License required.
• Experience as a Nurse Practitioner 0-1 year preferred.
• Prior Endoscopy/perioperative experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct care, counseling, and teaching to patients in ambulatory/outpatient settings.
• Performs complete histories and physical examinations.
• Orders, interprets, and evaluates laboratory and diagnostic tests.
• Develops appropriate plans of care and follow-up based on findings.
• Orders medications and writes prescriptions per policies.
