The position offers a varied shift pattern with 32 scheduled weekly hours, requires CPR, and emphasizes compassionate, patient-centered care, teamwork, and Epic documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current Ohio LPN license.
• Current CPR certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of orientation.
• Completion of an approved pharmacology course.
• Effective oral and written communication; ability to observe, guide and evaluate others.
• Ability to collect data, interpret findings, set priorities and carry out established plan.
• Ability to read, calculate and prepare medication and observe reactions.
• Competence in age-specific patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under the direction of an RN in a warm, friendly manner.
• Accurately take and record measurements or readings.
• Administer prescribed medications as indicated/documented by prescribing physician.
• Work collaboratively with other caregivers on the unit.
• Use Epic to enter orders, confirm orders, and print reports.
• May be asked to serve on department focus team.
• Properly decontaminate instruments/scopes and maintain logs.
• Assist with documentation of implant records and charges.
