Job summary

IHA is seeking a GI Lab Technician in Illinois to support basic endoscopic procedures, patient care, and endoscope reprocessing. The role uses video endoscopes and assists physicians and RNs to ensure safe, efficient GI procedures.

Responsibilities include preparing rooms, assisting during procedures, pre/post care, endoscope cleaning, specimen handling, and maintaining supplies. A high school diploma and CPR are required; 1–2 years of healthcare experience preferred.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of related healthcare or clinical experience.
• CPR certification required.
• Gastroenterology knowledge (SGNA) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain procedure rooms and equipment.
• Assist during endoscopic procedures and patient care.
• Support pre- and post-procedure care.
• Endoscope reprocessing per standards.
• Stocking and general support in labs and departments.
