Qualifications

• High School Education/GED or equivalent: Preferred
• Associate’s/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Preferred
• Experience in Gastroenterology (GI) Lab/Operating Room: Preferred
• CPR certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates and practices competencies related to endoscopic procedures, including disinfection, care and handling of endoscopes.
• Maintains sterilization quality control and proper disposal of hazardous materials per policy.
• Transports patients between departments and assists with direct endoscopy patient care.
• Monitors inventory levels and communicates needs to inventory staff.
• Collects data for performance improvement and supports continuous improvement efforts.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
