Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an Endoscopy Decontamination Technician to support the Outpatient Endoscopy Center. You will operate decontamination equipment, decontaminate scopes, and assist with GI procedures to ensure efficient patient throughput.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, current BLS certification, and at least six months of related experience. Schedule is Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, with on-call obligations and a 6:00am–4:30pm shift window.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Six months of related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate decontamination equipment and report issues promptly.
• Perform decontamination of scopes and instruments.
• Inspect and assemble scopes and instruments for procedures.
• Maintain documentation of decontamination processes in Endora system.
• Assist with GI procedures and patient throughput as needed.
• Follow safety policies to prevent exposure to bloodborne pathogens.
