Job summary

Care New England in Rhode Island seeks a Clinical Nurse Coordinator to provide clinical leadership and daily coordination of patient care within the Department of Medicine. This role serves as a clinical resource and liaison among patients, providers, nursing staff, and department leadership.

The position includes direct nursing care, triage, education, care coordination, and follow-up; supports safe operations; and helps with quality, safety, and workflow improvements.

Qualifications

• BSN degree required.
• Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience.
• RN licensure in the State of Rhode Island.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of RN delegation principles and clinical workflows.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical nursing care, assessment, triage, and patient education.
• Coordinate patient care across providers, departments, and services.
• Lead daily clinical operations and manage staff workflow and assignments.
• Support onboarding, coaching, and competency development for staff.
• Promote quality, patient safety, and regulatory compliance.
• Assist with development and improvement of clinical workflows and programs.
• Provide leadership support to the Nurse Director and participate in leadership activities.
• Perform other job-related duties as required.
