The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a Nursing Assistant to escort patients within the health care system, including ambulatory, wheelchair, or gurney transport.

You will provide nursing support under the minimal direction of a Registered Nurse, Nurse Practitioner, or physician, and assist perioperative and outpatient care to promote wellness and prevention. Basic requirements include English proficiency and U.S.

Formación

• English language proficiency as required by VA Handbook 5005.
• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Grandfathering provisions apply for current VA NAs.
• Experience or education/training: six months general experience or one year education above high school; or an intensive NA training program.

Responsabilidades

• Escort patients in ambulatory, wheelchair, or gurney settings, ensuring safety.
• Provide nursing care under supervision of RN, NP, or physician as assigned.
• Assist in perioperative and outpatient care, promoting wellness and prevention.
• Observe patients and communicate deviations to supervisors promptly.
