Job summary

Specialty1 Partners' Santa Rosa Endodontics - Ukiah seeks a skilled Dental Assistant to support a busy specialty practice. You will ensure patient comfort, prepare patients, sterilize instruments, assist with 4-handed dentistry, and manage records and payments.

You bring 1+ year of dental assistant experience, knowledge of instruments, OSHA-compliant practices, and a calm, team-focused approach to patient care. State licensing requirements apply where required.

Qualifications

• At least 1+ year of experience as a dental assistant, specialty preferred.
• Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods.
• Understanding of health & safety regulations.
• Ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks.
• Excellent communication and people skills.
• Strong attention to detail and reliability.
• Well-organized and responsible.
• High school diploma and, if required by law, accredited dental assistant certificate.
• Active state radiology license, if required by law.
• Ability to sit/stand for extended periods and operate office equipment.
• Adherence to OSHA and infection control standards.
• Ability to respond quickly in emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming patients to the dental office and preparing them for treatment.
• Selecting and set up instruments, equipment, and supplies.
• Sterilizing instruments according to regulations.
• Assisting the dentist through 4-handed dentistry.
• Providing oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions.
• Keeping the dental room clean and well-stocked.
• Scheduling appointments and post-op visits.
• Maintaining accurate patient records.
• Assisting with payment procedures.
• Coordinate other office responsibilities as needed.
