Job summary

Winston-Salem Dental Specialists is seeking an Endodontic Dental Assistant to join our team in Winston-Salem, NC. You’ll chairside assist during root canals and related endodontic procedures, set up and break down operatories, and help keep patient comfort high in a modern, efficient practice.

The right candidate will have dental assisting experience (endodontic preferred), current NC X-ray certification or ability to obtain, CPR/BLS, and proficiency with digital radiography and CBCT imaging,

Qualifications

• Dental assisting experience required; endodontic experience strongly preferred.
• Current NC X-ray certification or ability to obtain.
• CPR/BLS certification.
• Comfortable with digital radiography and CBCT imaging.

Responsibilities

• Chairside assisting during root canals, retreatments, apicoectomies, and other endodontic procedures.
• Set up and break down operatories with endo-specific instruments and materials.
• Take and process digital radiographs and CBCT scans.
• Assist with the dental microscope and ultrasonic units.
• Sterilize instruments and maintain infection control protocols.
• Provide patient comfort and education, especially for anxious patients.
• Assist with sedation monitoring as needed.
• Maintain patient records and coordinate with referring offices.
