The University of Miami seeks a Staff Physician to provide medical care to patients based on documentation and department policies. This is a part-time, Temporary-Intermittent position within UHealth, requiring a Doctorate in Medicine and a minimum of three years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• MD degree required for practice.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant medical experience.
• Active medical license or certification per department.

Responsibilities

• Develop and carry out a comprehensive medical treatment plan addressing biological, psychological, and sociocultural domains.
• Perform physical assessments in a logical and respectful manner.
• Prescribe medical treatments and clinical drugs to patients.
• Gather essential information through records review and patient interviews.
• Report to the responsible physician and comply with policy co-sig.
• Identify and report hazardous conditions, equipment issues, and supply inadequacies.
• Participate in quality assurance Incidences reporting per guidelines.
• Pursue continuing education to increase knowledge and expertise.
• Make informed decisions based on patient information, evidence, and clinical judgment.
• Maintain patient confidentiality per federal and state regulations.
