Job summary

Infinite Medical P.C. seeks a friendly Endocrinology Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to join our team in Houston, TX. You will provide comprehensive endocrine care for residents in skilled nursing facilities, collaborating with a dedicated healthcare team.

The position requires a Master's in Nursing, an active NP/PA license, and endocrinology experience. 6 months in long-term care and DEA/BLS certifications are expected.

Qualifications

  • Must have at least 6 months of experience in long-term care or skilled nursing facilities.
  • Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, or Physician license.
  • DEA License is required.
  • CPR BCLS/BLS certification.
  • Master's Degree in Nursing.
  • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
  • About a year of endocrinology experience.
  • EMR documentation experience (Sigma, Visual, PCC, etc.) preferred; training provided.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to lift at least 20 pounds and stand/walk/work 6–8 hours per day.
  • Competitive salary per annum: $60,000.00–$90,000.00

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive healthcare services and coordinate patient care.
  • Assess and treat patients with endocrinology diseases and conditions.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Evaluate residents' physical and mental wellbeing.
  • Take thorough patient histories and perform physical examinations.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests.
  • Develop accurate diagnoses and treatment plans.
  • Prescribe medications and administer treatments.
  • Counsel residents and families.
  • Coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team.
  • Manage chronic conditions and monitor progress.
  • Adjust care plans as needed.

Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and compassionate Endocrinology Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to join our team. As an Endocrinology Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive care to patients with endocrine disorders, including diabetes, thyroid conditions, and other hormone-related issues. Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive healthcare services and coordinate patient care
  • Assessing and treating patients with endocrinology diseases and conditions
  • Work closely with a team of healthcare professionals
  • Assess, diagnose, and treat residents' physical and mental well-being
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history reviews and physical examinations
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests
  • Develop accurate diagnoses and treatment plans
  • Prescribe medication and administer treatments
  • Provide counseling to residents and their families
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team for seamless coordination of care
  • Manage chronic conditions and monitor progress
  • Make appropriate adjustments to care plans
  • Commitment to person-centered care
  • Create a safe and nurturing environment for elderly residents in the nursing home
Requirements
  • Minimum 6 months of experience in long-term care or a skilled nursing facility
  • Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, or Physician license
  • DEA License
  • CPR BCLS/BLS certified
  • Must hold a Master's Degree in Nursing
  • Completed a degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
  • A year of experience in Endocrinology
  • Preferred experience in Documenting EMR (Sigma, Visual, PCC, etc.): training provided
  • Must have great organizational and time management skills.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 20 pounds and stand / walk / work on your feet up to 6-8 hours per day
  • Competitive salary per annum: $60,000.00 - $90,000.00
