Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Certification in CMA, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, or NRCMA within six months of employment or eligible to write one of the exams.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure efficient patient flow by escorting patients, preparing exam rooms, documenting visit details, updating medical history, and communicating changes to providers.
• Assist practitioners with medical and surgical procedures (ECG, venipuncture, immunizations, specimen collection, CLIA-waived testing).
• Prepare and stock exam rooms, disinfect and sterilize equipment, monitor inventory, and support safety protocols.
• Interact with patients and care team in a professional, friendly manner to promote patient satisfaction.
• Perform delegated procedures as applicable to the specialty area.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Manager.
