Advocate Health is seeking a Medical Assistant for the 02110 GCMG Endocrinology: Pineville - Endocrinology department. This full-time role is a 40-hour work week, typically Monday through Friday, 8 am–5 pm, with a pay range of $22.90 to $34.35 per hour.

Primary duties include rooming patients, vital signs, med reconciliation, history taking, and assisting providers with procedures. Lab duties, vaccinations, scheduling, and referrals are also part of the role, with opportunities for training and

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or structured military training in lieu of a formal program or EMT.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to Medical Assistant scope of practice and follows all policies.
• Performs rooming tasks: vital signs, med reconciliation, history, screenings.
• Assists provider with procedures as ordered.
• Performs lab duties: venipuncture, specimen handling, POCT, CLIA-waived tests.
• Administers medications and vaccines following medication administration rights.
• Executes other duties: refills, authorizations, scheduling, referrals.
• Maintains clean work environment and proper stocking.
• May assist with training and onboarding of teammates.
• Must care for age-specific patient needs per department standards.
