Job summary

Trinity Health Of New England Medical Group is seeking a Medical Assistant for its outpatient Endocrinology office in Prospect, CT. The role supports patients and providers in a fast-paced specialty practice, handling rooming, vital signs, specimen collection, and reliable documentation in the electronic health record.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of six (6) months of related work experience required.
• Knowledge of medical assisting normally associated with obtaining an Associate’s Degree in Medical Assistance is preferred; National Certification as a Medical Assistant a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepares exam and treatment rooms and patients for examinations and minor procedures; ensures appropriate clothing for the exam or minor surgeries.
• Obtains patient history and vital signs; enters information into the medical record; acts as a scribe between patient and physician as needed.
• Processes and files lab/diagnostic results and clinical notes; ensures accurate documentation in patient records and notifies providers of results.
• Coordinates patient flow in the office and assists front office staff with scheduling and communication to ensure timely visits.
