Job summary

Trinity Health Of New England Medical Group in Prospect, CT, is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our outpatient Endocrinology office. This is a full-time, day-shift position.

The Medical Assistant supports patients and providers by rooming patients, taking vital signs, assisting with procedures, collecting specimens, and documenting in the electronic health record to ensure a smooth patient flow. Minimum requirements include a high school diploma and at least six months of related experience;

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of six (6) months of related work experience is required.
• Associate’s Degree in Medical Assistance preferred; National Certification as a Medical Assistant a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare exam and treatment rooms; assist with examinations and minor procedures.
• Take histories, enter in medical record, document chief complaints, allergies, medications, and vitals.
• Process and file lab/diagnostic results and notes; notify providers of results.
• Coordinate patient flow with front desk; assist with scheduling and phone duties.
