Job summary

CHI Health Clinic, in partnership with Creighton University School of Medicine, is actively recruiting an Associate Program Director for their endocrinology fellowship program in Omaha, NE. The role blends clinical care with medical education and scholarly activity.

The position offers a 0.9 clinical and 0.1 academic FTE split, with responsibilities including outpatient/inpatient care, curriculum development, and mentorship of trainees.

Qualifications

• MD, DO, MBBS or equivalent required.
• Board certified in Internal Medicine.
• Board eligible/board certified in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism.
• Ability to obtain licensure in Nebraska.
• 2+ years experience as an Academic Faculty.
• Record of excellence in clinical care, education, and/or research.
• We are not able to accept candidates requiring J1 Visa sponsorship at this time.

Responsibilities

• Perform outpatient and inpatient clinical care.
• Great mix of outpatient general endocrinology and inpatient consults.
• Call responsibility 8 weeks per year assisted by internal medicine residents and endocrinology fellows.
• Engage in bedside teaching and supervision of medical students, internal medicine residents and endocrinology fellows.
• Anticipated volume 15 patients per full clinic day.
• Contributes to the design, implementation, and evaluation of the fellowship curriculum, including didactic sessions, conferences, and clinical rotations.
• Assists in identifying and assigning research projects for fellows, fostering their scholarly activity.
• Collaborates closely with the Program Director on strategic planning, program evaluation, and ACGME accreditation requirements.
• Faculty Appointment commensurate with experience at Creighton University School of Medicine
• Fully integrated Electronic Medical Record (EPIC)
