Job summary

Florida Medical Clinic Orlando Health is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant in the Endocrinology department in Tampa. You will perform patient care under the direction of a physician or APP in an ambulatory setting, handling data collection, exams support, and coordination of care.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Successful completion of Medical Assistant training from an approved technical school (or at least one year of verifiable and applicable work experience as a Certified Medical Assistant in a patient care setting) required.
• Maintains current BLS Healthcare Provider Certification.
• Maintains current certification or registration by one of several CMA agencies.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient care under physician or APP direction in ambulatory setting.
• Gathers patient data through interviews and observation.
• Assists with examinations and procedures.
• Documents data, treatments, and education per policies.
• Participates in quality initiatives and patient safety.

Education

High school graduate or equivalent

Medical Assistant training from an approved technical school or 1 year CMA experience

Current BLS Healthcare Provider Certification

Certification by CMA agencies (NHA, AAMA, AMCA, NCCT, NAHP, AMT/ARMA/AAH)
