University of Colorado Anschutz is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) for the Department of Medicine, Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism. The role blends inpatient consultation with outpatient follow-ups, including some virtual care onsite in Aurora, CO.

The ideal candidate will have an APRN or PA background with prescriptive authority and endocrinology experience, and will participate in education, quality improvement, and scholarly activities as part of the academic

Qualificações

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a master’s degree in advanced practice nursing or a graduate of an accredited program in Physician Assistant Studies.
• Current active license to practice in Colorado as an Advanced Practice Nurse or Physician Assistant. Prescriptive authority is required.
• Certified as a Nurse Practitioner or as a Physician Assistant by a national professional organization.
• Minimum of 0–4 years experience working in endocrinology (Instructor track).
• Minimum of 5 years experience working in endocrinology (Senior Instructor track).
• Minimum of 10 years experience working in endocrinology (Assistant Professor track).

Responsabilidades

• Performs comprehensive health assessments on inpatient endocrinology service.
• Develops treatment plans with attending physicians and care team.
• Participates in inpatient rounds and communicates with teams.
• Documents encounters in the EMR promptly.
• Facilitates discharge planning and follow-up care for endocrine patients.
• Provides post-hospitalization follow-up and patient education.
• Promotes quality improvement and evidence-based practice.
• Educates patients and families on health management.
