Job summary

University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) in Endocrinology for a blend of inpatient and outpatient care at the main campus in Aurora. The role supports inpatient endocrine consults with some outpatient follow-ups and virtual care onsite.

The position is 1.0 FTE, weekdays only (Mon–Fri), with duties across inpatient and outpatient environments, collaborating with MDs, fellows, residents, and students.

Qualifications

• Must hold active Colorado APRN or PA license with prescriptive authority.
• Experience in evaluating and managing endocrine disorders preferred.
• Open rank positions with track options based on experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive health assessments for inpatients on the endocrinology service.
• Develop and monitor treatment plans with the care team.
• Participate in daily inpatient rounds and care coordination.
• Document encounters and recommendations in EHR promptly.
• Facilitate discharge planning and follow-up care for endocrine conditions.
• Provide post-hospitalization follow-up and patient education.
• Engage in education and scholarly activity such as quality improvement.
• Collaborate with faculty physicians, APPs, trainees, and staff to support clinical and academic missions.
