Job summary

Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, ME, is seeking an Endocrinology Advanced Practice Provider for a full-time role. The APP will deliver outpatient and/or inpatient endocrine care, collaborating with endocrinologists and the care team to diagnose, treat, and educate patients with diabetes, thyroid disorders, and other endocrine conditions.

Qualifications

• MSN with specialization as an APRN.
• Current state NP license.
• BLS upon hire and maintain current.
• Two years as NP in Endocrinology & Diabetes preferred or two years in Family/Internal Medicine.
• Experience with electronic health record systems.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and diagnostics.
• Diagnose and manage endocrine disorders with supervising physicians.
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans.
• Order, interpret, and communicate lab and imaging results.
• Provide diabetes care including insulin therapy and CGM management.
• Educate patients on disease management, medications, and lifestyle changes.
• Prescribe medications per state laws and protocols.
• Monitor and adjust care plans as needed.
• Document encounters in the EMR.
• Coordinate care with healthcare teams.
• Participate in quality improvement and regulatory compliance.
