Job summary

Central Maine Healthcare is seeking an Endocrinologist to join its team in Lewiston, Maine. The physician will diagnose, treat, and manage endocrine disorders including diabetes, thyroid disease, osteoporosis, and obesity, working with primary care providers and specialists to deliver evidence-based care.

Qualified candidates will have an MD or DO with Endocrinology fellowship, board certification/eligibility, and be eligible for J1/H-1B visas.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree, with completion of an accredited Endocrinology fellowship.
• Board Certified/Board Eligible in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism.
• J1/H-1B visa candidates accepted.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with endocrine and metabolic disorders.
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical histories, physical examinations, and diagnostic evaluations.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Manage acute and chronic endocrine conditions in outpatient and inpatient settings as applicable.
• Order, interpret, and communicate laboratory, imaging, and diagnostic test results.
• Prescribe medications and monitor treatment effectiveness.
• Provide ongoing disease management and preventive care recommendations.
