The ideal candidate is BC/BE in Endocrinology, with an IL license or eligibility, and will manage outpatient diabetes, thyroid, pituitary/adrenal, and bone disorders, collaborating with a physician and APP.

Location: Mattoon, Illinois | Schedule: Full-time, highly flexible — ~3 Days per Week or week-on/week-off rotation available | Compensation: $320,000 annually

Overview

A premier regional healthcare facility is seeking a full-time, Board Certified or Board Eligible (BC/BE) Endocrinologist to join its established internal specialist team. This role offers a highly collaborative and flexible practice model, allowing the right physician to shape their ideal schedule while stepping into an active, growing patient panel.

What you'll do

• Provide comprehensive outpatient diagnostic, consultative, and treatment services for a full spectrum of endocrine, metabolic, and hormonal disorders
• Manage a robust, established patient panel focusing on advanced diabetes care, thyroid diseases, pituitary/adrenal disorders, and metabolic bone disease
• Partner and collaborate seamlessly with the existing on-site team, currently comprised of one experienced physician and one Advanced Practice Provider (APP)
• Work a highly flexible practice schedule, with options for approximately 3 focused days per week or an alternating week-on/week-off rotation
• Manage minor clinical call responsibilities, restricted primarily to reviewing critical lab values as needed
• Maintain thorough, accurate, and timely electronic medical records for all patient consultations and follow-up care

Required qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited institution
• Successful completion of an accredited Internal Medicine Residency followed by an Endocrinology Fellowship
• Board Certified or Board Eligible (BC/BE) in Endocrinology
• Active, unrestricted Illinois state medical license (or immediate eligibility to obtain)
• Valid DEA registration
• Strong communication and clinical leadership skills to successfully collaborate within a physician/APP team model

Compensation and benefits

• $320,000 annually base compensation
• Immediate upside earning potential through production bonuses paid on all RVU output exceeding the base guarantee
• Eligible for an annual quality incentive up to 10% of base salary (capped at $50,000) upon meeting baseline metrics once the practice is fully established
