Ashtabula Regional Medical Center is seeking an Endoscopy Technician to perform a range of indirect patient care activities under the supervision of professional staff. Responsibilities include sterilization, decontamination, instrumentation handling, and safety compliance.
The role requires a High School diploma or GED, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced setting. Excellent customer service and computer literacy are essential for success in this position.
The Endoscopy Technician will perform various indirect patient care activities and related to services under the direction of the professional staff. Essential duties include:
One year related experience working in a healthcare field or completion of a state certified program required.
Certified Flexible Endoscope Reprocessor required within one year of hire/transfer.
The Endo Tech will require the ability to walk six to eight miles in an eight-hour shift and to lift or carry objects weighing up to 50 lbs. Additionally, this role requires an individual be able to work under periods of high stress and in a consistently fast-paced environment. Exposure to communicate disease and/or body fluids.
