Job summary

Packaging Corporation of America (PCA) is seeking an IT Systems Engineer II at Counce Mill to support and maintain end-user computing across desktops, laptops, tablets, and mobile devices in a 24x7 plant environment. You will implement, configure, and troubleshoot hardware, OS, applications, and policies, mentoring Systems Engineer I.

The role requires a BS in IT or equivalent and 5+ years in an industrial IT setting; familiarity with Windows, Active Directory, VOIP, IBM AS400, and LAN/WAN.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Information Technology Systems or equivalent.
• 5+ years IT experience in industrial environment.
• LAN/WAN investigation and troubleshooting user access and applications issues.
• Experience with ITS user security and OS administration across platforms.
• Experience with VOIP system and administration.
• Windows desktops, desktop application support and operating systems experience.
• Server support in virtual environments.
• Familiarity with IBM AS400 operations (Plus).
• Experience handling help desk tickets and issue resolution.

Responsibilities

• Implement, configure, support and troubleshoot hardware, operating systems, applications and policies for end-user devices.
• Interface with end-users to support and maintain end-user computing needs.
• Support and mentor Systems Engineer I; report to Manager, Information Services.
• Work in a 24x7 plant operation with rotational on-call.
