Job summary

Team8 is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join our engineering team. We work with Python and TypeScript across data pipelines, backend services, APIs, and user interfaces, balancing frontend and backend work based on strengths and growth goals.

You will own from design discussions to production and monitoring, taking real ownership of your work and collaborating closely with product and design in short cycles with real users nearby.

Qualifications

• 5 years of hands-on software engineering experience building and shipping production systems.
• Strong proficiency in Python and TypeScript (or deep expertise in one and fluency in the other).
• Solid fundamentals: data modeling, API design, testing, and maintainable systems.
• Experience with cloud environments and autonomous work in a fast-paced startup.

Responsibilities

• Design and build features end-to-end in Python and TypeScript from data model to user-facing experience.
• Build and maintain backend services, APIs, and integrations with customer environments and security tools.
• Work with data at scale, ingesting and structuring information from diverse sources.
• Translate complex data into intuitive interfaces for security analysts.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and evolution of product and codebase.
• Own your work end-to-end: design, implementation, testing, rollout, and monitoring.
• Collaborate with product and design in short cycles with real users nearby.
