Job summary

Siemens Energy, Winston Technology Center, seeks a Production Order Manager to drive seamless execution of manufacturing orders for steam turbine and generator components. You’ll schedule production orders, expedite materials, and resolve bottlenecks to support on-time delivery and lead-time optimization.

You’ll work with Production Management, Engineering Support, Project Management, Supply Chain, Procurement and Logistics to manage end-to-end order lifecycle from release to final assembly,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a technical/ business field.
• 3–5 years in production planning, materials expediting, order management, or manufacturing operations.
• Experience with production schedules, order lifecycles, capacity planning, and materials coordination.
• Knowledge of MRP, inventory control, logistics coordination, and supply chain optimization.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP PP/MM) and data analysis/KPI reporting.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end lifecycle of production orders for turbine and generator components, aligning with schedules and delivery commitments.
• Coordinate with shop floor supervisors, schedulers, and project teams to monitor progress and resolve schedule risks.
• Expedite critical parts and subassemblies with procurement and logistics to prevent disruptions.
• Analyze material availability and production requirements to minimize excess WIP.
• Resolve material discrepancies, delays, and holds through cross-functional collaboration.
• Serve as liaison between Engineering Support, Production Management, and Project Management with regular updates on status and KPIs.
• Drive continuous improvement in production order management to optimize lead times and capacity.
