Job summary

Authority Partners in Houston seeks a Senior Oracle APEX Developer who can own applications end-to-end, from gathering requirements to delivering production solutions for clients. You will design data models, optimize SQL/PLSQL, build RESTful services with ORDS, and work with stakeholders in an Agile environment to ensure quality and on-time delivery.

Hands-on leadership and communication with clients are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in Oracle development with 4+ years in APEX
• Strong SQL/PLSQL skills and data modeling
• Experience gathering requirements with business users and acting as product owner
• Familiarity with Agile ceremonies and deployment pipelines

Responsibilities

• Own APEX applications end-to-end from discovery to delivery
• Translate business needs into requirements, stories, and acceptance criteria
• Define scope, backlog priorities, and align stakeholders on roadmap
• Design robust data models and secure database objects
• Develop data migration and integration scripts
• Optimize queries using execution plans and indexing
• Build RESTful services using ORDS and integrate with external APIs
• Plan and execute unit/integration/UAT testing
