Job summary

Knowmadics is seeking an IT & Security Specialist in Lawton, OK to independently own corporate IT and security responsibilities end-to-end. You will handle routine IT requests, onboarding/offboarding, and documentation while applying governance, risk, and compliance practices.

Relevant experience with FedRAMP/CMMC, security controls, and clear communication skills is essential. Eligible for U.S. security clearance; travel to client sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information systems management, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field.
• Knowledge of IT and cloud infrastructure design, security principles, and traditional/modern environments.
• Familiarity with network, endpoint, application, and mobile device security concepts.
• Understanding of operating systems, infrastructure, and cloud computing.
• Awareness of information security laws and regulations.
• Basic knowledge of threat actors, exploitation tactics, and defensive tools.
• Experience using Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) platforms or similar tools.
• Certification: CompTIA Security+ or equivalent (required).
• Eligible to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance – U.S. Citizenship required.
• Working technical knowledge of FedRAMP, CMMC, and SOC 2 requirements relevant to IT & Security operations, access control, endpoint management, and protection of compliance-sensitive information is expected.

Responsibilities

• Resolves routine employee IT requests without escalation.
• Supports hardware, software, accounts, access, and IT systems.
• Runs onboarding and offboarding end-to-end for assigned employees.
• Follows security, compliance, and IT procedures and notes risks.
• Writes and corrects documentation and runbooks for the team.
• Escalates complex issues with diagnosis and action plans.
• Identifies recurring issues and suggests process improvements.
• Applies FedRAMP and CMMC knowledge to IT & Security operations.
• Executes established procedures and adapts when needed.
• Communicates clearly with users and teammates; documents work.
