Job summary

Encore Technologies seeks an Endpoint Systems Engineer to design, implement, and maintain our endpoint infrastructure, OS, applications, and identity. You will analyze requirements, troubleshoot issues, and ensure availability, security, and reliability across managed platforms.

You will build provisioning workflows, manage patch cycles, automate deployments with PowerShell, and partner with ITSM teams to streamline asset, incident, and change processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 3–5 years of hands-on IT experience with Microsoft endpoint management.
• Experience with Microsoft Intune, AutoPilot, and Entra ID; PowerShell scripting.
• Familiarity with ITSM practices and change management workflows.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills; ability to work cross-functionally.

Job description

The Endpoint Systems Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the organization's endpoint infrastructure, hardware, OS, applications, and identity. This role involves analyzing system requirements, troubleshooting issues, optimizing system performance, and ensuring the availability, security, and reliability of endpoint systems and application. The Systems Engineer works closely with IT teams and other departments to support technological solutions that meet business needs and contribute to operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, configure, and maintain endpoint and identity management platforms.
• Implement and maintain ‘hardening’ baselines for endpoint systems.
• Build and maintain end point OS and application provisioning workflows.
• Own operating system and third-party patch cycles across all managed platforms and remediate findings surfaced by vulnerability management tooling.
• Develop and maintain PowerShell and other appropriate scripts to automate deployments, configuration drift correction, and reporting.
• Monitor and regularly report end point health, patch and policy compliance, and device performance telemetry.
• Serve as tier-3 escalation for endpoint incidents and problems and perform root cause analysis and drive permanent corrective action.
• Integrate endpoint platforms with ITSM tooling for asset, incident, and request automation, and submit endpoint changes through the established change management process with tested back-out plans.
• Maintain standard operating procedures and transfer knowledge to Service Desk and field teams through training and knowledge base content.
• Track vendor roadmaps and emerging endpoint capabilities, evaluate new tooling against Encore service standards, and recommend improvements that reduce cost, risk, or manual effort.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of increasing responsibility in information technology with proven hands-on Microsoft endpoint management experience. Experience managing non-Windows endpoints, including macOS and Linux, is a plus.
• Demonstrated production experience with Microsoft Intune, AutoPilot and Entra ID as well as Powershell scripting and automation skills.
• Familiarity with ITSM practices and platforms, including incident, problem, and change management workflows.
• Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to isolate complex issues across identity, network, application, and device layers.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work across cross-functional teams and explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
