Job summary

Pero Family Farms, based in Hanover, PA, is hiring an End-of-Line Operator to safely operate automated packaging equipment, including VFFS and FSW baggers, ensuring product quality and food safety. This on-site, full-time role supports production lines and collaborates with maintenance and quality teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience operating VFFS packaging equipment, FSW baggers, or similar automated bagging equipment.
• 1–3 years in food manufacturing, packaging, or high-speed production environments preferred.
• Experience with packaging line setup, changeovers, film changes, and basic troubleshooting preferred.
• Experience with automated packaging lines, conveyors, checkweighers, metal detectors, or related end-of-line equipment preferred.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• An equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant manufacturing experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, monitor, and adjust VFFS and FSW bagging equipment per product specs.
• Load and thread packaging film and ensure proper alignment.
• Monitor bag formation, sealing, and discharge to meet quality standards.
• Adjust machine settings including bag length, seal temperature, timing, and line speed.
• Ensure correct packaging materials, labels, and production supplies are available.
• Perform routine inspections and basic preventive maintenance.
• Complete product and packaging changeovers efficiently to minimize downtime.
• Maintain accurate production and quality documentation.
• Follow GMP, food safety, and sanitation procedures.
