Position Description

Join Applied Medical and be at the forefront of revolutionizing medical device manufacturing. As a Technician at Applied Medical, you will be essential in ensuring the precision and functionality of robotic arms and tooling used in injection molding machines for medical device manufacturing. You will leverage your expertise in End of Arm Tooling ( EOAT ) setup, maintenance, and repair to support our commitment to producing high-quality medical devices that enhance patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot End of Arm Tooling (EOAT) systems and electrical parts used on injection molding machines.
  • Keep the EOAT tooling lab organized and manage spare parts inventory.
  • Track project progress and collect important data using company software.
  • Document maintenance, tooling adjustments, and inventory usage accurately.
  • Help with purchasing parts to keep the lab running smoothly.
  • Assist engineers by making minor tooling modifications using 3D modeling tools.

Position Requirements

  • High school diploma, trade school training, or similar hands-on experience.
  • Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and measurement instruments.
  • Ability to read and understand technical documents and drawings.
  • Basic computer skills, including spreadsheets, word processing, SAP, PLM.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Good communication skills to work well with the team.

Preferred

  • Experience or interest in EOAT or robotic automation.
  • Some experience with SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
  • Familiarity with injection molding processes.
  • Experience with preventive maintenance or quality systems like ISO 9001.
  • Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
