Job summary

Piping Rock Health Products, INC is seeking a 3rd shift Encapsulation Operator to handle encapsulation per formula instructions. You will follow SOPs and cGMPs, operate equipment solo or in a team, and assist in setup and packaging tasks.

The role requires reading and writing English, ability to stand and lift, and flexibility for overtime while upholding quality standards across the encapsulation process.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1+ year operating a capsule machine in a manufacturing environment.
• Must be able to read/write English.
• Ability to work autonomously and complete tasks timely.
• Flexibility for overtime when needed.
• Must comply with GMP requirements and training.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to SOPs and cGMPs to ensure quality and quantity of product.
• Operate encapsulation equipment independently and in a team.
• Clean equipment and assist setup.
• Build boxes for packaging of bulk items.
• Match labels with batch records.
• Document encapsulation process information per SOP.
• Take measurements of quality parameters (weight, length, capsule visuals).
• Monitor encapsulation operation and report abnormal conditions.
• Ensure equipment is cleaned for transition of product manufacturing.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Job description

The 3rd shift Encapsulation Operator is responsible for all activities related to the encapsulation of the product as per formula instructions.

Responsibilities:

• Adhere to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) that are in effect assuring the quality and quantity of product produced.
• Operate encapsulation equipment independently as well as within a team environment
• Clean the equipment and assist in the set-up process of the equipment
• Build boxes for packaging of bulk items
• Match all labels with batch records
• Document encapsulation process information as per SOP
• Take measurements of all the quality parameters-weight, length, visual inspection of the capsules
• Monitor encapsulation operation periodically and report any abnormal conditions to the supervisor
• Ensure equipment is cleaned properly for transition of product manufacturing
• Additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or G.E.D
• 1 year or more operating a capsule machine in a manufacturing environment
• Must be able to read/write English
• Ability to work autonomously and use resources available to complete tasks timely
• Flexibility for overtime when needed
• Must comply with GMP requirements; specific functions and documents will be discussed in GMP and on the job training

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift 50lbs
• Must be able to stand for 8 hours
• Must be able to work in a physically challenging environment
