Job summary

Piping Rock Health Products is seeking an entry- to mid-level Housekeeping/Porter/Maintenance Associate to keep the office, cafeteria, warehouse, lobby and stairs clean and well maintained in a fast-paced environment on-site in New York. You will vacuum, mop, take out trash, dust surfaces, and disinfect restrooms while following GMP guidelines and safety expectations.

The role requires basic tools knowledge, English communication skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and communicate effectively.
• Basic knowledge of tools strongly preferred.
• Basic English communication skills required.
• Must comply with GMP requirements and training.

Responsibilities

• Vacuum and mop all floors and maintain cleanliness of office, cafeteria, lobby, and stairs.
• Remove trash from all office and public areas.
• Dust equipment and furniture; clean drinking fountain and glass doors.
• Maintain restrooms and locker rooms; perform disinfection.
• Weekly exterior cleaning of parking areas and entrances.
• Clean warehouse floor with tenant machine.
• Handle basic facility requests (bulbs, unclogging toilets, snow removal).
• Comply with company policies; maintain regular attendance.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Job description

The main responsibilities of the Housekeeping/Porter/Maintenance Associate will be to ensure that the office space, cafeteria space, warehouse area, as well as the lobby and stairwells are kept clean and well maintained at all times.

Responsibilities:

• Vacuum and mop all floors
• Remove trash from all office and public areas
• Dust all office space equipment, and furniture, including drinking fountain and glass doors
• Maintenance and disinfecting of all restrooms and locker rooms
• Weekly cleaning of the parking lot, including but not limited to picking up trash, sweeping of front and rear entrance
• Clean warehouse floor with tenant machine
• Handle basic facility requests (i.e.: changing light bulbs, unclogging toilets, snow removal, etc.)
• Complies with company policies and procedures and maintains regular work attendance
• Additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalency preferred
• Ability to prioritize tasks, communicate effectively
• Basic knowledge of tools strongly preferred
• Basic communication skills in English is required
• Must comply with GMP requirements; specific functions and documents will be discussed in GMP and on the job training

Role’s Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift 50lbs
• Work environment may be exposed to powders, chemicals, and allergens (peanuts, tree nuts, milk, dairy, eggs, wheat, gluten, soy, fish, and shellfish).
• Ability to work in a physically challenging environment, including bending, twisting, and standing for up to 8 hours is this something you would be comfortable with.
