Job summary

NexCaps Production in Riviera Beach, FL is seeking an Encapsulation Machine Operator I to assist with encapsulation processes and operate packaging equipment according to batch records.

You will follow SOPs for Soft Gel and encapsulation equipment, monitor machines, maintain GMP compliance, and collaborate with a production team in a GMP environment. Strong attention to safety and basic math skills are required.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED.
• Able to read and follow SOPs.
• Able to work in compliance with GMPs.
• Able to perform basic math calculations (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
• Able to follow written and verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Follow SOPs related to Soft Gel and Encapsulation equipment.
• Monitor the encapsulation process and assist with machine operation.
• Fill out batch records and maintain good documentation practices.
• Maintain a neat, clean, and safe work area in a GMP environment.
• Assist with cleaning and changeovers of equipment and rooms.
• Assist with QA clearances and adherence to 21 CFR Part 211 and Part 111.

Encapsulation Machine Operator I

Summary

Assists with the encapsulation process and machines responsible for the manufacturing of products according to batch records.

Key Responsibilities

• Follow the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) relating to Soft Gel and Encapsulation equipment
• Immediately bring any discrepancy to the attention of a supervisor, and obtain approval from the supervisor before operating the encapsulation equipment
• Spreads Soft Gels onto drying trays
• Moves stacks of drying trays to the appropriate drying rooms
• Fills out appropriate documentation on batch records, maintaining good documentation practices.
• Helps monitor the machine
• Assists with gelatin and material changeover operations
• Assists with performing In-process testing and checks throughout product runs and daily routines
• Assists in basic cleaning of machines and production rooms following major and minor changeovers
• Assist in getting clearances from QA on appropriate equipment and GMP rooms for processing
• Responsible for following current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs), 21 CFR Part 211, and 21 CFR Part 111
• Understanding of Equipment SOPs.
• Maintain neat and clean work areas
• Maintain a safe work environment
• Assist in the disassembly of non-critical component machine parts
• Assist with the assembly and installation of all non-critical component equipment parts.
• Assist with cleaning all non-critical component machine parts and equipment
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or GED {General Educations Diploma)
• Experience a plus; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
• Able to read and follow SOPs
• Able to work in compliance with current GMPs
• Able to perform basic math calculations (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
• Able to follow written and verbal instructions.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Work safely around production equipment and in a manufacturing setting
• Arrives on or before the scheduled start time to properly review duties for the day
• Able to read, write, and speak English, plus perform basic math
• Follow both written and oral instructions
• Works well independently and with a team
• Flexibility to work different job functions and overtime

Physical/Work Environment/Expectations

• This position works within a GMP Manufacturing Environment, office environment and inside the plant
• Must be able to work in controlled environments requiring special gowning.
• Will be required to follow gowning requirements and wear Personal Protective Equipment {PPE) overhead, face, hands, and arms
• No make-up, jewelry, contact lenses, nail polish, or artificial fingernails may be worn in these work environments.
• Pace may be fast, and job completion demands may be high.
• While performing the duties, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and see, talk, and hear.
• The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision
