Nicklaus Children's Hospital Transport Program is seeking an EMT with field and hospital transport experience to support ill and injured patients. You will assist in interfacility transfers, maintain ambulances, and coordinate communications for ground and air transports under RN/Paramedic supervision.

Requires Florida EMT license, EVOC, BLS in good standing, and a valid Florida driver’s license with a clean record.

Qualificações

• Florida EMT license is required.
• Emergency Vehicle Operator certification must be current.
• American Heart Association BLS active and in good standing.
• Active Florida driver’s license with clean driving record.
• IAMTCS Flight Communicator OR CommLink’s CFC required within 24 months of hire.
• Minimum 1 year of driving an emergency vehicle.

Responsabilidades

• Assists with interfacility and intrafacility transfer of patients and attends to personal needs of patients/families.
• Functions as a professional representative of the Nicklaus Children's Hospital Transport Program.
• Responsible for maintenance and upkeep of NCH ambulance, transport team equipment, and supplies.
• Operates communications equipment and promptly assesses caller needs, activating helicopter, fixed-wing or ground transport as required.
• Promotes corporate compliance within the Code of Business and ethical Conduct.
• Renders life support care to critically ill or injured patients under RN or Paramedic supervision and assists with procedures and vital signs.
• Takes call and responds within 60 minutes of notification at least one shift per week.
• Completes transport logs and PI logs; maintains records and data entry.
• Follows transfer laws and consults with medical staff to identify accepting physicians.
• Gathers information efficiently to respond to transport requests and documents all transports.
• Keeps leadership informed of unusual circumstances and supports process improvements.
