Job summary

Nicklaus Children’s Health System Transport Program seeks an EMT with current Florida license to support interfacility and intrafacility transfers. You will operate and maintain transport vehicles, coordinate communications for LifeFlight aircraft and ambulances, and document transport records under RN or Paramedic supervision.

Strong customer service, confidentiality, and multitasking abilities are essential as you respond to transport requests and ensure safety and compliance across shifts.

Qualifications

• Florida EMT license is required.
• EVOC certification must be current and up to date.
• AHA BLS must be active and in good standing.
• Active Florida driver’s license with clean driving record.
• IAMTCS Flight Communicator or CommLink CFC within 24 months of hire.
• Minimum 1 year of driving an emergency vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Assist with interfacility and intrafacility transfers and care for patients.
• Maintain and upkeep of NCH ambulance and transport equipment.
• Coordinate LifeFlight communications and dispatch, including aircraft/ground transport.
• Respond to transport requests and document transport logs.
• Provide life support under RN or Paramedic supervision.
• Maintain records and perform clerical duties; support data entry.
• Promote compliance with Code of Business Conduct and process improvements.
• Communicate effectively with hospitals, physicians, nurses and dispatchers.
